Hmm yeaaaaa, well. I’ve been waiting for inspiration to write. And what I have realised is, if you want to write, you just have to write….there won’t always be perfect moments of inspiration. Snippets of randomness inspire me…so maybe I should work with that for now (like when I was writing in the garden a few weeks ago, butterflies and bees flying by, a cricket on my foot and a little brown spider sharing my book. I was part of that moment in nature - not obstructing or changing it, but by simply being.) Happy Equinox by the way.
Inspiration. I came across this amazing animation of world protests since 1979. I am totally inspired by this powerful visualisation. I can feel the world consciousness gaining strength year on year. Although there are many destructive sides to globalisation, there are also positive sides: like connecting the masses via the internet. Here is the link or watch it on the Youtube link below. This is the kind of good news I would like to hear about…so I wanted to share it with you. Now this is success right? We are becoming more powerful. We, the people, are standing up for our rights and speaking out. Taking responsibility for what is the truth, for justice.

So I have been pondering the concept of ‘success’ for a while. How it is defined. How it is measured in different parts of the world. What it means to me. I was falling asleep one night and suddenly, words came to me and I sat up and scribbled in the dark a page of musings about it. It's legible - surprising since it was pitch black when I wrote it. I'll share some with you.
As I grew up, success was a place I thought I had to climb to. Climb the career ladder and then I would be successful. Build the numbers in my bank account. Then I would have a car, a house, holidays and not have to worry about anything because I had money. It was something big, something in the future. What I now know, is that for me, success is being able to sleep at night because I have lived a day in alignment with my ethics. Within that are projects and moments of success. But overarching all of those, is this. Being true to my morals and enjoying life. Success can be today, in a moment, in the small things as well as something to strive for.
Of course, success is different for all of us. There is no right or wrong. It's relative to our experience, our lives. No need to compare or judge. What is your definition of success?
Success. To me, is doing something that could inspire another person to stop and see a different perspective. I thank all of you who have given me your thoughts about words I have written here...conversations started, debates opened and new ideas born. Here's to keeping inspired, happy and successful x
